Zoster Immunoglobulin-VF is a preparation of human immunoglobulin for intramuscular administration.

Zoster Immunoglobulin-VF is prepared from blood obtained from voluntary and non-remunerated (unpaid) donors. Zoster Immunoglobulin-VF contains proteins called antibodies which can provide protection against the zoster virus that causes chickenpox and shingles.

It is used to help prevent chickenpox and shingles in people who are susceptible to viral infections (especially those with a weak immune system) and who come into contact with an infected person.

Zoster Immunoglobulin-VF is available only with a doctor’s prescription.
