The CSL Internship Program

The CSL Internship Program is a paid 10 week program for university undergraduate and postgraduates students in their second last year of study.

Our program is focused on giving you hands-on experience and enhancing your future skills through learning and development opportunities all whilst working alongside and learning from a diverse group of professionals who are leaders in their field.

Throughout your program journey, you’ll be supported with a dedicated Program Manager, line manager and one of our current graduates with exposure to various teams and functions across the business. At the end of the program, you’ll have the opportunity to apply to and be considered for early offers to join our award winning Graduate Program for the following year.

Eligibility Requirements

You will need to be an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or have Australian Permanent Residency status at the time of application
You will need to be in your second last year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
You will need to be available to commence full time employment from November 2024 to February 2025
Our Intern Program is based in Melbourne (Broadmeadows, Parkville, CBD or Tullamarine, Victoria – depending on your stream of application). As such, you will be located in/or willing to relocate to Melbourne and be willing to cover the costs of relocation.

Application Process

Our five-stage application process is your opportunity to show us that you have what it takes to be a CSL Intern. Successfully advancing through every stage of the recruitment process brings you closer to doing work that matters!

CSL 2025 Graduate Intake Selection Process No dates

1. Online Application Form

Begin your journey with CSL by completing our online application form. This helps us to capture important information about you including your academic background, skills and experiences as well as your stream preferences. We will also ask you why you would be a great fit for our Internship Program! Please ensure that you have checked all program eligibility requirements before completing your application.

2. Online Testing

If you are successful post application form, you will be invited to complete a short online assessment. At this stage of the process, we are looking to learn more about your skillsets, as well as your preferred ways of working so that we can best align you within the business. The assessment will take approximately 45 minutes to complete and will include a range of verbal, numerical and logical reasoning assessments, as well as a behavioural questionnaire.

3. Video Interview

At our video interview stage, you will be asked to respond to questions via a one-way video recording. You’ll have some time to prepare a response for each question, followed by some time to record your answer. You’ll also have the opportunity to complete some practice questions to ensure that your system is set up correctly and to familiarise yourself with the interview format.

Video interviews are a great way to showcase your experiences and communication style, along with your interest and motivation for applying to CSL. We’ll also be looking for other important competencies that we love to see in our future talent!

4. Assessment Centre & Interview

The Assessment Centre will be the final step of the process. This will be a chance for you to interact with our business leaders as well as some of our current and previous graduates who will share their experiences with you.! At the Assessment Centre, you will participate in a group exercise as well as a short interview. Most importantly, this will be your opportunity to learn more about CSL and get an understanding about what your day as a CSL Intern could look like!

5. Offer

We will call you within a couple days after the assessment centre to let you know if you are successful.
